9# 32. நரக குண்ட வகைகள்

உபதேசித்தான் தேவி மஹா மந்திரத்தை யமன்;
உள்ளபடிக் கூறினான் நரக குண்ட வகைகளை!

“உண்டோ எத்தனை வகை புண்ணிய பேதங்கள்
உண்டு அத்தனை வகை சுக அனுபவ பேதங்கள்!

உண்டோ எத்தனை வகையான பாவ பேதங்கள்
உண்டு அத்தனை வகை துக்க அனுபவ பேதங்கள்!

புண்ணியம் மட்டுமே செய்தவன் செல்லான் நரகம்!
பாவம் மட்டுமே செய்தவன் செல்லான் சுவர்க்கம்!

இரண்டையும் கலந்து செய்வார்கள் மனிதர்கள்;
இரண்டையும் கலந்து அனுபவிப்பர் மனிதர்கள்;

பார்க்கலாம் பூலோகத்திலும் கண்கூடாக இதை!
பார்க்கலாம் சிலர் சுகம் மட்டுமே அனுபவிப்பதை.

பார்க்கலாம் சிலர் துக்கம் மட்டுமே அனுபவிப்பதை;
பார்க்கலாம் சிலர் மாறி மாறி மாறி அனுபவிப்பதை.

பார்க்கலாம் சுகத்தை மட்டுமே தரும் சில இடங்களை!
பார்க்கலாம் துக்கத்தை மட்டுமே தரும் சில இடங்களை!

உள்ளன எண்பத்தாறு நரக குண்டங்கள் – அவற்றில்
உள்ளனர் பதினான்காயிரம் கிங்கரர்கள் தண்டிப்பதற்கு!

பயங்கரர்கள், மத மத்தர்கள், தம் கைகளில்
பாசம், சூலம், கதை, தண்டம் ஏந்தியவர்கள்.

தயை என்பதையே அறியாதவர்கள் இவர்கள்!
பயம் என்பதையே அறியாதவர்கள் இவர்கள்!

செவ்வரி ஓடிய பச்சைக் கண்களை உடையவர்கள்;
செம்மையான யோக சித்திகளை உடையவர்கள்.

காண முடியாது வெறும் நாட்களில் இவர்களை!
காண முடியும் மரண காலம் நெருங்கும் போது!”

9# 32. The types of Hells

Yama Dharman did the upadesam of Devi MahA Manrtram to SAvitri. He explained the types of Hells where men get punished for the sins they had committed.

“There are as many types of pleasures to be enjoyed in Heaven – as there are of good deeds earning merits and as many types of sufferings to be experienced in the Hells – as there are of Sins.

A man who has done only good deeds all his life and earned merits will not enter Hell. A man who has done only bad things all his life will not enter heaven. But most people do both the good deeds and the bad deeds. So they experience both pleasures and pains in their afterlives.

This can be seen even on the earth. Some people enjoy nothing but pleasures all their lives. Some others enjoy nothing but sorrows all their lives. But mostly people enjoy pleasures and pains by turns.

There are a few places on earth which give only happiness and a few others which give only sorrow. They are the Heaven and Hell on the surface of the earth.

There are eighty six types of Hells. There are fourteen thousand Kinkaras or Yama Dhoothas for punishing the sinners in those hells.

They are terrifying people. They carry the noose, the trident, the mace and the stick. They know the meaning of neither mercy nor of fear.

They have blood shot green eyes and possess many yoga siddhis. They are normally invisible to everyone except to those who are about to die.”
