9#25b. சாவித்திரி பூஜை (2)

“செய்வாய் காயத்திரி ஜபம் ஒரு லக்ஷம் முறை!”
செப்பியது அசரீரி அஸ்வபதிக்கு இவ்வறிவுரை!

சென்றார் முனிவர் பராசரர் அவ்வழியே – மன்னன்
செய்திருந்த நற் கர்மங்களின் பயனாகப் போலும்!

பணிவுடன் மன்னன் வணங்கினான் முனிவரை;
கனிவுடன் கூறினார் முனிவர் அவனிடம் இதை.

“ஒருமுறை ஜபித்தால் அழியும் ஒரு நாள் பாவம்;
நூறு முறை ஜபித்தால் அழியும் ஒரு மாதப் பாவம்.

ஒரு லக்ஷம் ஜபித்தால் அழியும் ஒரு ஜன்ம பாவம்.
பத்து லக்ஷம் ஜபித்தால் அழியும் பல ஜன்ம பாவம்.

பத்து முறை இதைச் செய்தால் சித்திக்கும் முக்தி;
எத்தகைய பாவத்தையும் அழித்துவிடும் காயத்ரி.

செய்ய வேண்டும் ஜபம் கிழக்கு முகமாக அமர்ந்து!
செய்ய வேண்டும் ஜபம் ஆலயம், நதிக்கரையினில்.

அணிய வேண்டும் ஜபமாலை ஸ்படிக மணிகளால்;
அணிய வேண்டும் வெண்டாமரைக் கொட்டைகளால்!

பூச வேண்டும் கோரோசனை நூறு காயத்ரி ஜபித்து;
புனிதப் படுத்த வேண்டும் கங்கை, பஞ்சகவ்யத்தால்.

பத்து லக்ஷம் காயாத்ரி இந்த மாலையுடன் ஜபித்தால்
பிரத்தியக்ஷம் ஆவாள் கண்முன்னே சாவித்திரி தேவி.”

9#25b. SAvitri Devi Pooja (2)

An asareeri sounded from the heavens “Do Gayatri Japam one hundred thousand times!” By the good fortune of King Aswapati, sage ParAsara was passing by at that time. The king paid obeisance to the sage and asked about the significance of the asareeri.

The sage explained to the king patiently,”If we do the japam of GAyatri mantra once, the sins committed by us in one day will get destroyed! If we do the japa one hundred times, the sins committed in one month will get destroyed.

If we do japam one lakh times, the sins committed in one whole birth will be destroyed. If we do the japa ten lakh times, the sins committed in many births will vanish.

If this is repeated ten times all over again, one will be liberated from SamsAra chakram. One must sit facing east while doing the japam – either in a temple or on a river bank.

The japamAla must be made of crystals or the seeds of white lotus flower. One must do the japa of Gayatri mantra one hundred times and smear Gorochana on the japamAlA. The mAlaA must be sprinkled with pancha gavaya and Ganga water.

If you do the japam of GAyatri mantrA ten lakh times with this mAlA, SAvitri Devi will surely give you her dharshan!” The sage ParAsAra advised the king.
