வடிவம் இவளே சொற்பொருளின் வாதங்களுக்கு;
வடிவம் இவளே அவற்றால் அடையும் நன்மைக்கு.

ஏந்தியிருப்பாள் இரு கரங்களில் வீணையும், ஏடும்;
எல்லாக் கலைகளின் வடிவம் தான் என்றுணர்த்திட!

இத்தகைய வித்தைகளால் நம்முள் விளைகின்ற
ஆத்ம பயனின் சுத்த சத்துவ ரூபிணி சரஸ்வதி.

அமைதியே இவள் பண்பின் வடிவம் ஆகும்;
அமைவாள் அனைவருக்கும் இனியவளாக!

வண்ணம் இணையாகும் பச்சைக் கற்பூரத்துக்கும்;
வெண்டாமரை, ஆம்பல், முல்லை சந்தனத்துக்கும்.

பூஜிப்பாள் பரமாத்மாவை ரத்தின மணிமாலையால்
பூஜிக்கும் யோகியருக்குத் தவ வடிவானவள் இவள்.

சித்தி, வித்தைகளின் வடிவாக இருப்பாள் இவள்.
சித்திக்க வைப்பாள் நமக்கு புத்தி, வித்தைகளை!

நடை பிணங்களாகத் திரிவார்கள் அந்தணர்கள்-
இடைவிடாது கலைமகளை ஆராதிக்காவிடில்.

ஒளியிழந்து அலைவர் வேதம் பயின்ற வேதியர்கள்-
ஒளி தரும் கலைமகளிடமிருந்து பிரிந்து போனால்.

9#1f. Saraswati Devi (2)

She is the Goddess of Speech. She is the Presiding Deity of the Knowledge in various subjects. She helps in us to debate intellectually and settle verbal disputes. In fact all the beings earn their livelihood by selling some talent learned by taking the help of Saraswati Devi.

She is peaceful in nature and holds in Her hands her Veena and her books. Her nature is S’uddha Satva. Her color is as white as the ice-clad mountains or that of the white sandal or that of the Kunda flower or that of the Moon, or that of the white lotus.

She always repeats the name of ParamAtmA while She counts the beads in Her rosary (papa mAlA) made of jewels. Her nature is purely ascetic. She is bestows of the fruits of ascetism of the ascetics.

She gives the Siddhi and VidyA of everyone. She grants success to the efforts made by everyone. If she were not worshiped in due manner, the Brahmins will lose their knowledge and brilliance and become like the walking-dead.
