9#17b. துளசி தேவி (2)

தோன்றினான் பிரமன் துளசியின் முன்பு
“வேண்டும் வரம் என்னவோ கூறுவாய்!

பக்தியா? தாஸ பாவமா? அமரத் தன்மையா?”
பதில் தந்தாள் துளசி பிரமனுக்கு இவ்விதமாக.

“பிறந்திருந்தேன் கோலோகத்தில் கோபியாக!
சிறந்திருந்தேன் கோபாலனின் பிரிய சகியாக!

“மோஹம் தீரவே இல்லை சம்போகத்தினால்;
கோபப்பட்டாள் ராதிகா என்னிடம் அதீதமாக.

சாபம் தந்தாள் எனக்கு மானிடக் குறியில் பிறந்திட!
சாபம் பெற்றேன் பரிதாபம் கொண்டேன் என் மீதே!

“என் அம்சம் கொண்டவன் ஒருவனை மணப்பாய்!”
அன்புடன் கூறினான் என்னிடம் கிருஷ்ண பரமாத்மா.

பிறந்தேன் அந்தச் சாபம் காரணமாக இங்கே.
பெறவேண்டும் நான் பகவானைக் கணவனாக!”என

பிரமன் கூறினான் துளசியிடம் இந்த விதமாக,
“பிறந்தான் சுதர்மன் கிருஷ்ணன் தேஹத்திலிருந்து;

மோஹம் கொண்டான் உன்னைக் கண்டதும்!
மோஹமும், காமமும் நிறைவேறவே இல்லை!

சபித்தாள் ராதிகா அவனையும் கூட – பிறந்தான்
சாபத்தினால் பிறந்தான் அவன் சந்திர சூடனாக!”

9#17b. Tulasee Devi (2)

Brahma appeared in front of Tulasee. He asked her, “What do you wish for my dear child? Do you want bakti or dAsa bhAvam or immortality?”

Tulasee told him thus: “I was born in GOlOka as a gOpi and was very close to Krishna ParamAtmA. I could not get enough satisfaction from the pleasures I enjoyed there.

RAdhA was very annoyed with me and she was angry too! She cursed me that I will be born as a human being. Krishna ParamAtmA consoled me saying that I will marry someone great who was born out of his own amsam.

I was born on the earth among human beings because of RAdhA’s curse. I want to marry Krishna BhagavAn. I seek nothing else from you!”

Brahma told Tulasee thus: “SudhAman was born out of the body of Sri Krishna ParamAtmA. He fell in love with you madly the moment he set his eyes on you.

But his love remained futile and unfulfilled in GOlOka. RAdha cursed him too to be born in the race of DhAnavAs. He is now born as Sankha Chooda in the race of Manus.”
