நியாசிக்க வேண்டும் இவற்றை முறையே
தலை, முகம், இருதயம், ஸ்தனங்களில்.

நியாசம் செய்ய வேண்டும் பீஜங்களால் சிகை,
கண், காது, மூக்கு, முகம், புஜத்தில்.

கட்கம், சக்கரம், கதை, பாணம், சர்ப்பம்,
பரிகம், சூலம், பிஜுண்டி,சிரசு, சங்குடன்.

தியானிக்க வேண்டும் மஹாகாளி வடிவமாக;
தியானிக்க வேண்டும் முக்கண் உடையவளாக.

தியானிக்க வேண்டும் ஆபரணங்கள் அணிந்தவளாக;
தியானிக்க வேண்டும் அலங்காரம் புனைந்தவளாக.

தியானிக்க வேண்டும் கருமேகத் திரளின் பிரகாசத்தோடு!
தியானிக்க வேண்டும் பத்துத் திருமுகங்கள் உள்ளவளாக!

ஜபமாலை, மழு, கதை, பாணம்;
வஜ்ரம், தாமரை, வில், குண்டிகை;

தண்டம், சக்தி, கத்தி, கவசம், மணி;
சுரா பாத்திரம், சூலம், பாசம், சுதர்சனம்;

சிவந்த காந்தியுடன் ஒளிர்ந்து கொண்டு;
செந்தாரையில் வசிக்கின்ற அன்னையாக;

மாயா ஸ்வரூபிணியை, மஹிஷனை அழித்த
மஹா லக்ஷ்மியைத் தியானிக்க வேண்டும்.

9#50b. DurgA Devi (2)

NyAsA must be done on the head, face, heart and the chest. NyAsA must be done on the hair, eye, ear, nose, face and shoulder.

Devi must be meditated upon as MahA KALi wielding the Kadga (axe), Chakra (disc), GadA (club), BANA (arrows), ChApa (bow), Parigha, Soola (trident), BhushuNdi, KapAla, and the Conch in her ten hands.

She must be meditated as having three eyes; decorated with many ornaments and jewels; shining like the black rain clouds and having ten faces and ten arms.

DhyAnam of MahA Lakshmi is done as the destroyer of MahishAsura. Devi is meditated as holding a japamAlA (Rosary), Paras’u (Axe), GadA (Mace), Ishu (Arrows), Kulisa (Thunderbolt), PadmA (Lotus), Dhanu (Bow), KuNdika (Water pot), DaNda (Rod), Shakti (Spear), Asi (Sword), charma (Armor), GhantA (Bell), SurA pAtrA ( Pot of liquor), SoolA (Trident); PAsA (Noose) and Sudarsana (Discus).

She is of the color of the rising sun and is seated on a red lotus.
