9#42c. லக்ஷ்மி துதி (3)

“ஹவிஸு ஹோமத்தில் ஸ்வாஹா தேவி நீ!
கவ்ய ஹோமத்தில் உதவும் சுவதா தேவி நீ!

விஷ்ணு ஸ்வரூபம் நீய! பூமி ஸ்வரூபம் நீயே!
இஷ்ட வரங்கள் தருவாய் சாந்த குணத்துடன்.

சரஸ்வதி ஸ்வரூபமாகத் தருவாய் பரமார்த்தம்;
சாம்பல் ஆகிவிடும் உலகம் நீ இல்லாவிட்டால்.

காக்கின்றாய் பெற்ற தாய் போல உன் பிள்ளைகளை!
காக்கின்றாய் பெற்ற தாயினும் சாலப் பரிந்து எம்மை!

பிழைத்துக் கொள்ளும் தாயற்ற குழந்தை ஒருவேளை;
பிழைத்துக் கொள்ளாது நீ இல்லாவிடில் இந்த உலகம்.

கருணை புரிய வேண்டும் தாயே நீ எனக்கு!
அருள வேண்டும் இந்திர லோகத்தை எனக்கு!

யாசகனாகி விட்டேன் நீ விலகிச் சென்றதும்;
யாசிக்கின்றேன் ஞானம், தர்மம், சௌபாக்யம்.

தருவாய் பிரபாவத்தையும், பிரதாபத்தையும்;
தருவாய் போரில் வெற்றியை, ஐஸ்வர்யத்தை!”

துதித்தனர் அனைவரும் வரங்களைக் கோரியபடி;
அளித்தாள் அனைத்து வரங்களையும் கோரியபடி!

மலர் மாலையை அளித்தாள் இந்திரனுக்கு – பின்பு
மறைந்தருளினாள் மஹாலக்ஷ்மி தேவி அங்கிருந்து.

“You are the SwAhA Devi, in the sacrificial ceremonies; You are the SvadhA Mantra in the KAvyas in offering of food to deceased ancestors. My obeisance to you!

You are of the nature of VishNu! You are of the nature of Earth that supports all! You grant boons to all. You are the auspicious SAradA! You grant devotees the Highest Reality and the devotional service to Hari.

Without you all the worlds would be dead even while existing. As a loving mother nourishes her infants with her milk, so do you nourish all of us as our mother! A child might be saved even when deprived of its mother, but none of us can ever be saved except by you!

All my possessions are now in the hands of my enemies. Be kind enough to restore my kingdom to me. Ever since you have forsaken me, I am wandering like a beggar, deprived of all prosperity. O Devi! Please grant me the JnAnam, Dharma, fortune, power, influence and all my possessions.”

Lakshmi Devi granted boons to the Devas, gave the garland of flowers to Indra and disappeared from there.

Whoever recites this holy Stotra three times a day, becomes prosperous like Kubera. He who recites this stotra five lakh times will attain siddhi.
