9#25a. சாவித்திரி பூஜை (1)

“எதற்காகப் பிறந்தாள் சாவித்திரி தேவி?
எவரெவர் பூஜித்தனர் வேதத்தின் தாயை?”

வினவினான் நாரத முனிவன் நாரணனிடம்,
விளக்கினான் நாரத முனிவனுக்கு நாரணன்.

“பிரமன், தேவ கணங்கள், பண்டிதர்கள் மேலும்
அஸ்வபதி, நான்கு வர்ணத்தவர்கள் பூஜித்தனர்.

பத்திர தேசத்து அரசன் அஸ்வபதி; அரசி மாலதி;
பக்தியோடு உபதேசம் பெற்றாள் வசிஷ்டரிடம்

ஆராதிக்கும் விதிகளை சாவித்திரி தேவியை;
ஆராதித்தாள் தேவியை பக்தியோடு பல காலம்.

காட்சி தரவில்லை தேவி அவளுக்கு – மாலதி
நாட்டுக்குத் திரும்பினாள் தன் அரண்மனைக்கு!

அஸ்வபதி அறிந்தான் அரசி படும் துயரை;
புஷ்கரத்தில் செய்தான் நூறாண்டு கடும் தவம்.

ஆகவில்லை பிரத்யக்ஷம் தேவி அஸ்வபதிக்கும்;
அசரீரி ஒலித்தது விண்ணிலிருந்து அப்போது!

9#25a. SAvitri Pooja (1)

“Why was SAvitri Devi born? Who all did worship SAvitri Devi?” NArada asked and NArAyNan replied!

“Brahma, The Deva GaNas, the pundits, king Aswapati and the people of all the four varNas worshiped Devi SAvitri!

Aswapati was the King of Bhadra desam. His wife was queen MAlati. She got upadesam from sage Vasishta with great care. She learned the method of worshipping SAvitri Devi and did worship the Devi for a very long time.

But SAvitri Devi did not give dharshan to her. She got disapponited and went back to her country and her palace.

King Aswapati learned about the disappointment of his dear wife. He too did penance in Pushkara Kshetram for a very long time. Yet Savitri Devi did not give him her dharshan.

An asareeri sounded from the heaven. “Do Gayatri japam one hundred thousand times!”
