9#43c. ஸ்வதா தேவி துதி

“ஸ்வதா தேவியே!

பிராணனுக்குச் சமமானவள் பித்ருக்களுக்கு;
பிராமணர்களுக்கு ஜீவிய ரூபம் ஆனவள் நீ;

அதிஷ்டான தேவதை நீயே ஆவாய் தாயே
அனைத்துப் பித்ரு கர்மங்களுக்கும் தேவி.

தருகின்றாய் செய்யும் கர்மங்களின் பலனை;
இருக்கின்றாய் புண்ணிய ஸ்வரூபிணியாக!

இருக்கின்றாய் நீ நித்தியையாக தேவி;
இருக்கின்றாய் நீ சத்திய ரூபிணியாக.

தோன்றுகின்றாய் நீ சிருஷ்டி காலத்தில்;
மறைகின்றாய் நீயும் பிரளய காலத்தில்.

“ஓம் ஸ்வஸ்தி நம: ஸ்வாஹா ஸ்வதா தக்ஷிணா”

9#43b. SvadhA Devi Stuti (3)

“O SvadhA Devi! You are dear to the Pitrus as their vital breath and you are the very life of the BrAhmins. You are the Presiding Deity of S’rAddha ceremonies and you bestow the fruits of performing it.

You are eternal, you are the truth, and you are of the nature of religious merits. You appear during the creation and disappear in dissolution. And this appearing and disappearing go on forever.

You are the Pranava Om; You are Svasti; You are NamaskArA; You are SvadhA and You are DakshiNA. You are the various karmas as designated in the Vedas.

Brahma handed over the lotus-faced SvadhA Devi to the Pitrus and they took her happily to their own abode.

He who hears with devotion and attention this stotra of SvadhA, gets all his desires fulfilled and the merit of bathing in all the holy Teerthams.
