நினைத்த மாத்திரத்தில் அகற்றி விடுவாள் – நம்
அனைத்துத் துன்பத்தையும் அன்னை துர்க்கை.

உகந்தவள் துர்க்கை பூஜித்து வழிபடுவதற்கு;
உகந்தவள் துர்க்கை உபாசித்து வழிபடுவதற்கு.

வடிவம் ஆகும் சிவ சக்தியரின் வடிவம்;
வடிவம் ஆவாள் அற்புதச் சிறப்புக்களின்!

அதி தேவதையாவாள் ஜீவர்களின் புத்திக்கு,
அந்தர்யாமியாவாள் எல்லா ஜீவன்களுக்கும்.

துரத்தி விடுவாள் துக்கம் என்னும் துன்பத்தை!
துர்க்கை என்ற பெயர் பெறக் காரணம் இதுவே.

மூலப் பிரகிருதியின் உருவம் இவள்;
முத் தொழில்களையும் செய்பவள் இவள்.

The moment we think of DurgA Devi, she will remove all our hardships and worries. DurgA Devi is worthy of being worshiped by us. She is Siva-Shakti in her form. She is the personification of many rare powers.

DurgA Devi is the presiding deity of Intellect. She resides in every jeevA as the AntaryAmi. She drives away all our sorrows. That is precisely why she is called as DurgA Devi.

DurgA Devi is the Moola Prakruti Devi herself. DurgA Devi is responsible for the creation, preservation and destruction of everything.

The nine lettered DurgA mantra is a Kalpa Taru for the devotees. It yields and fulfills all their wishes and desires.
